1 egg
3/4 milk
2 tbls. melted margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbls. sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup flour


Before you start mixing the pancakes, heat up the griddle or frying pan which has been lightly greased with butter or cooking spray.

In a bowl, beat the egg, until it is light and fluffy. Add all the other ingredients until they are well combined.

Pour the amount of batter for the size of pancake you like on to the griddle or frying pan. When they start to bubble on top, turn them over and cook on the other side.

For variations, you can add chocolate chips or fruit to the batter.

TIP: Your griddle or frying pan is hot enough when a drop of water breaks apart and evaporates when dropped on the griddle or frying.
