1/2 Ib (250 g) lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
Pinch each: salt, freshly ground black
1 cup taco sauce (mild, medium or hot)

Crumble beef into 6-cup micro-waveable casserole. Add onion and garlic. Microwave in an uncovered container at high (100 per cent power) 2 to 3 minutes, until the meat is cooked. Stir twice to break up lumps. Drain off liquid.

Stir in the flour and then the seasonings. Put the container back into the microwave at high for 1 minute. Next, stir in taco sauce, put a lid on the container and microwave at high 3 to 5 minutes, or until mixture thickens. Stir at least once during cooking.

Makes 2 generous servings.
