1 tbsp butter
2  tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
1  tbsp dark rum (optional)
Pinch cinnamon
2  ripe but not soft bananas

Melt butter in shallow micro-wavable dish such as a glass pie plate at high (100 per cent pow­er) 20 to 40 seconds. Stir in brown sugar, juice, rum (if using) and cinnamon. Microwave un­covered at high 2 to 4 minutes or until bubbly. Stir once during cooking.

Slice bananas lengthwise, then cut into into 2-inch pieces. Add to sauce; spooning sauce over ba­nanas. Microwave at high 30 sec­onds to 1 minute or until heated through. Do not overcook or ba­nanas will become mushy.

Makes 2 servings.
